It's not that I've been feeling old lately (as a matter of fact, I've not been doing that much at all) but the state of my health has been somewhat worrying me.
Reading Du Fu (a book by whom I've bought quite randomly) can't help but make me retrospective and wondering as to what my real life goals are and why am I doing what I'm doing and am willing to undertake what I find to be the most reasonable step at this juncture.
This is amplified by the financial news, which indicate that while we're not likely to see the repetition of the Great Depression, the current mess is not a trivial one and it will take a long time to sort out and fix.

Essentially, I'm once again at the crossroads and this time around I have much less room for mistake.

When your ALT is 141 you start thinking about things. These are not happy thoughts.
When your ALT is 56 after it's been 141 you start having happy thoughts. Also, you start to enjoy your diet, take two hour walks and become much more tolerating of your relatives.

When there's a person you care about a lot next to you and you feel young and want to take a walk with a beautiful woman who also cares about you but it's cold around, what do you do?
You buy some cognac (which is more like brandy) in a flask-shaped bottle, ½ liter of Coke and start walking, trying to balance yourself on the icy ground.
Doing so, you feel incredibly happy.
